Repeal Bill 5 Now!

In the face of economic threats, we need to strengthen Ontario by growing our economy, creating and maintaining good jobs, and get building. We can do this while respecting the constitutional rights of Indigenous peoples, maintaining environmental protections, and ensuring strong labour standards to protect workers.

Experts warn Bill 5: Protect Ontario by Unleashing our Economy Act, 2025 could delay development, provoke backlash, and invite lawsuits. I am calling for Bill 5 to be scrapped and start over with full consultation, including with First Nations, to do development right in Ontario.

Invest in our schools now!

Schools across the province have been chronically underfunded by consecutive Conservative and Liberal governments. Now, students, teachers, and education workers are paying the price.

The TDSB is facing:

  • $4.5B shortfall to maintain existing and older school buildings, with rising construction costs (as of January, 2025)
  • $38.5M shortfall to support special education
  • $10.9M shortfall to support student and staff mental health, safety and well-being

The TDSB spent $70.1 million in reserves during the pandemic to more staff, purchase PPE, and implement other health and safety measures to keep students and teachers safe. These costs have not been repaid by the Ford government. Continued lack of funding means school boards will have to make further cuts to programs like outdoor learning, music, and pools.

Build the Davenport Greenway Now!

Metrolinx committed to building the Davenport Greenway once the Davenport Guideway had been completed. The Guideway has long been completed with trains running for the last two years but ground has yet to be broken on the Greenway project. Additionally, residents will see another summer without full access to the West Toronto Railpath, a vital pedestrian/cycling path and community gathering space that connects the north and south of Davenport.

Support Education Workers

With Bill 28, the Ford government is launching an unprecedented and unfair fight, attacking the bargaining rights of workers.

Tell Doug Ford and Stephen Lecce to immediately respect workers’ rights, rip up the anti-worker Bill 28, and return to the bargaining table with a fair deal that retains education workers, rather than drives them away.

Stop the cuts to public health

Doug Ford is cutting $1 billion from public health funding in Ontario and slashing public health units from 35 down to just 10. Toronto stands to lose more than any other municipality, putting vital local programs - and the health of our neighbours and families - at risk. - SIGN HERE or DOWNLOAD AND PRINT.
