Why didn't Ford prepare our schools for a second wave?

QUEEN'S PARK — Ontario NDP Education critic Marit Stiles made a statement in response to reports that parents are pulling their kids out of in-person school en masse, with at least 7,000 students being pulled out in the TDSB alone, and 374 schools on track to lose teachers:

"Cases of COVID-19 are rising rapidly, and parents are scrambling to keep their children safe in the face of a Ford government plan that fails to protect students and staff.

Ford has held back on direly needed funding for smaller classes. His government is lurching from crisis to crisis, with parents pulling their kids out of school en masse creating a cascade of new disruptions for families and education workers —including making class sizes even larger."
