Did you know that the City of Toronto and provincial transit agency Metrolinx are planning to build 3 new GO/Smart Track stations in Davenport, including near St. Clair-Old Weston?
Procurement on these projects has already begun and could be awarded as soon as 2022. The stations are expected to be operational by 2026. Metrolinx has informed us that they will host community town halls in late October / early November 2021 to share more information about the project, and will form Community Liaison Committees in November or December.
St. Clair-Old Weston will be a new SmartTrack/GO station on the Kitchener GO rail corridor between Bloor and Mt Dennis GO Stations.
This station is located on Union Street north of St. Clair Avenue West, between Bloor and Mount Dennis GO Stations on the Kitchener GO rail corridor. The station will feature two new station buildings providing connection points directly from Union Street, bike parking, two pedestrian tunnels connecting the east and west platforms, and connections to Gunns Road and St. Clair Avenue West will also be available.
Potential Transit Connections include: 512/312 St Clair streetcar; 41/341 Keele, 89 Weston, 127 Davenport and 168 Symington TTC buses.
As your MPP, my priority is ensuring that this and all provincial transit projects work for Davenport residents, and that your voices are heard at every stage.
Sign up for future updates on this project as it gets underway.
